In an effort to be as equitable as our new organization can be, we are providing the following discounts and tiered international pricing. We always welcome suggestions regarding our equity policies, so feel free to contact us to share your ideas.
Financial Assistance for Dues
Applicants who have household incomes of $40,000 or below will qualify for a $125 discount on membership dues. Annual dues are $200 – with the discount, you will pay $75. Amounts are in US dollars.
For people outside the United States, please review our International Dues Policy and International Dues List, below. If you would still like to apply for the financial assistance discount, fill out the form and the Association will apply the United Nations Price Index to your income to determine your eligibility.
Apply for Discount
To apply for the discount, please submit the Financial Assistance Application. No documentation is required. If you qualify, you will need to reapply in subsequent years.
$75 dues ($125 discount) for people with household incomes below $40,000 (a little bit more than 300% of Federal Poverty Guideline for 2021, see chart below).

The International Discounted Dues Application is for applicants from outside the US. We have tiered pricing for international members, providing discounts to members from Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 countries, as follows (figures in US dollars):
Tier 1—$200 (same as United States)
Tier 2 – $150 dues ($50 discount) for international applicants in countries with per capita GDP-PPP below $40,000.
Tier 3 – $100 dues ($100 discount) for international applicants in countries with per capita GDP-PPP below $20,000.
Tier 4 – $50 dues ($150 discount) for international applicants in countries with per capita GDP-PPP below $10,000.
Sources for Determining Dues:
Per Capita GDP-PPP (gross domestic product + purchasing power parity) as determined by the World Bank, IMF (International Monetary Fund), and US CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). All figures are in US dollars. See International Dues Price List for source links.
Generally, all international members are eligible for discounts. However, people from countries in Tiers 2-4 who are employed by organizations from Tier 1 countries (and paid Tier 1 wages/salary) will be considered Tier 1 applicants and will not qualify for a discount.
How to Get the International Discount:
The reasoning behind the creation of tiered pricing for international members is to make membership more accessible. Discounts are based on an index of per capita GDP (gross domestic product) and PPP (purchasing power parity) for 216 countries, island nations, territories, and other autonomous areas.
Why International Pricing:
The Association is offering tiered pricing for our international members in order to make membership more accessible. Discounts are based on an index of per capita GDP (gross domestic product) and PPP (purchasing power parity) for 216 countries, island nations, territories, and other autonomous areas.
The Association will be making efforts to translate our materials into languages other than English in 2022. Until we are able to do that and if we do not have the information you need in your preferred language, please notify us at email@example.com and we will do our best to get you translated information.
